The Record label Raster will celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a show at East London’s renowned venue Troxy at 30th April.
The experimental German label is renowned for its futuristic relationship with science and the visual arts. Founded in 1996, the international brand has worked across multiple industries publishing award-winning books, graphic design, and data carriers.
Representing the label’s 25th Birthday is an outstanding lineup of artists performing a combination of Audio-Visual, Live and DJ sets.
Performing Live A/V sets, German DJ, composer and label owner Atom, Raster Co-founder Byetone (aka Olaf Bender) and Russian artist/musician Dasha Rush. Spinning the decks for the evening will be Berghain’s original resident Marcel Dettmann, Italian classical musician/label owner/ DJ Donato Dozzy and Japanese-born sound artist Mieko Suzuki.
Blanche London is an event company, community and label which focuses on the conceptual, multidisciplinary relationship between electronic music and art. The brand has worked with some of London’s most unique venues, as well as a worldwide roster of DJs, musicians and visual artists.
The geniuses behind Raster have influenced subsequent generations of DJs and performers with cutting-edge production techniques and audio-visual deliverance and the lineup is no less impressive. The combination of excellence from Atom’s huge role in the birth of trance, Dettman’s GDR, post-punk inspiration and Dozzy’s legacy in the A/V installation field is only fit for such a monumental celebration.
Raster also made its name through the curation of its festival Electric Campfire which has taken place over many locations across the globe.
